Fresh Veg!

Today a flier came in the mail from Abel and Cole, which is apparently a seasonal/organic grocer that makes home deliveries of all sorts of yummy things. I signed right up for the Mixed organic box, which will commence delivery weekly starting next week. Yum!

The Post has started a weekly column about what to do with the weekly CSA take (and the CSA they're using is ours).

Yum! We would love to know some of the more unusual veggies and how they get used.

oh. man. you are lucky! delivey service.

there are some places around here (FW,Indiana) where we can buy organic, but we have to drive out into the country or across town to a farmer's market.

Hi M - Mary! I wonder if you wandered here because you also run a blog called "As if you care..." or if you came upon it some other way. Seems a little ironic that in the middle of farm country, you can't get good, local produce. That makes me a little sad.

NY has a service like this called Urban Organics, and the weekly box includes recipes for things to do with your contents so you can make good use. I gotta get in on a CSA next year or something. Just like I gotta get into a preschool - darn Virginians snatched up everything good around here before I got here. Let us know what you get!
